Week 1 — Desire
What Are You Seeking? (John 1:38)
This week, we begin by slowing down.
When Jesus first invited people to follow Him, He didn’t start with instruction or correction. He started with a question:
“What are you seeking?”
Before anything changes, formation begins by listening — not to who we think we should be, but to what we actually carry before God.
This week’s focus is desire.
Not fixing it.
Not spiritualizing it.
Simply noticing it before God, trusting Him with what we find.
A Simple Rhythm for This Week
Reflection
Take a few quiet minutes sometime this week and sit with these questions:
- What has been occupying my thoughts lately?
- What am I hoping will finally bring peace or relief?
- Where do I notice restlessness, longing, or resistance?
Practice (5–10 minutes a day)
Once a day:
- Sit in silence for two minutes
- Ask quietly: “What am I seeking right now?”
- Notice without judging
- End with: “Jesus, here I am.”
If you miss a day, nothing is lost.
This is practice, not performance.
