Trusting God Isn’t Easy — Finding Peace in the Unknown
So much of life feels like a test—not in a fear-based, pass-or-fail kind of way, but as a daily opportunity to trust God’s wisdom over our own.
Think about the last time you faced uncertainty—in your job, your family, your finances, or your health. In those moments, there’s always a choice:
- Will I strive for control, living as if God can’t be trusted?
- Or will I surrender to His wisdom, believing there’s a better way to live?
This choice goes all the way back to the garden with Adam and Eve, and it’s still the test we face today.
Jesus tells His disciples in John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Life’s tests aren’t about proving yourself to God—they’re an invitation to walk in His peace, to show the world there’s a better way of life rooted in Him.
Practically, this looks like making space each day to meet with God:
- Opening Scripture and letting His words sink in
- Sitting quietly, asking what He’s saying
- Wrestling honestly with your fears and unknowns
- Allowing His peace to meet you there, again and again
Your trials don’t have to be moments of panic—they can be moments of trust, transformation, and peace.
(Watch the video below, then take a few moments with John 16:33. Ask yourself: what would it look like for me to trust God in this season?)
