Surrender

Surrender

The place of healing,

the place of hope.

Feels like a desolate ground,

quiet, unnerving—

a treacherous path

haunted by mystery,

laden with fear.

Few step here willingly.

A place that feels like abandonment,

like Mercy has hidden His face.

Yet beneath the silence

Mercy lays waiting—

hidden in darkness,

surrounded by light.

We suspect its intentions,

as if love could betray us,

but truth unveils its face

only to the lowly,

only to hearts that bow.

In the hush of surrender,

love stands unveiled—

a gentle hand

leading us onward

into a life shaped by holy surrender,

marked by the Christ

who emptied Himself

to fill the world with light,

in whose surrendered life

we find our own.

This road,

though shadowed and unsure,

leads to eternal life—

a life remade,

not in thought alone,

but through the slow,

patient work of grace,

rebuilding flesh

breath,

and being,

until every part of us

learns to live again:

Mind.

Soul.

Body.
