Cohorts

What Are Cohorts?

Chasing the Wonder cohorts are small, intentional formation journeys designed to help people slow down, listen to God, and practice a life with Him — together.

They are not classes.

They are not therapy.

They are not a replacement for the local church.

Cohorts are structured spaces where formation can actually take root through Stillness, Scripture and Shared practice.

The Goal

The goal of a cohort is not spiritual performance or quick outcomes.

The goal is formation.

That means:

  • creating space to become attentive to God again
  • learning to receive Scripture as living Word
  • discerning where God is inviting response
  • practicing small, embodied rhythms that can be carried into real life

Cohorts are designed to help people move from knowing about God to learning how to live with Him.

How Cohorts Are Experienced

Cohorts may be offered in different formats depending on context and need, including:

  • guided group journeys over several weeks
  • church-based cohorts for teams or leaders
  • retreat-style gatherings that open or anchor the formation process

While the format may vary, the heart remains the same:

formation begins with presence, not pressure.

Who Cohorts Are For

Cohorts are for:

  • individuals who feel spiritually dry, distracted, or stalled
  • leaders and teams seeking depth rather than more content
  • churches looking for formation support alongside existing discipleship efforts

You do not need to be “ready” or “strong” to participate — only willing.

What to Expect

Each cohort emphasizes:

  • unhurried space
  • Scripture-centered reflection
  • shared discernment (not fixing or advising)
  • simple practices that support daily faithfulness

Everything is designed to be sustainable, humane, and rooted in grace.
